Football Inspired

If you haven't noticed from a few of my items, I love to show my school spirit. This is more evident during the season of FOOTBALL, I mean, fall. Now from the houndstooth and combo colors of blue and red, fellow SEC lovers can tell my heart lies with the Crimson Tide and the Ole Miss Rebels (born and raised a Bama fan, but college scholarship drew me out of state to the Heart of Dixie.) However, I consider myself a pretty open-minded person, and have created some fabulous items for a fellow SEC team. :)

This customer was so creative with her vision of having a football themed baby shower, and her wording was the icing on the cake! I created the clipart. Printed on white cardstock. Background black and red are cut, textured cardstock.
Price for similar invite: $1.75 per piece

I've been dying to make some collegiate-inspired baby gear, so this was a great opportunity for me to use my clipart and the giant ric-rac I love oh-so-much!
Collegiate-Inspired Burp: $14

Just a pic of the two items together so you can see how cute they are--a great way to keep a memento of the party for months on end!

If you like these items, I can create them for ANY team you root for and I'm not limited to just the Southeastern Conference.

Birthday Gear! From Head to (almost) Toe!

YAY! I've had a chance to make several BIRTHDAY OUTFITS! And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them all! My newest accomplishment is the coordinating boy shorts I sewed using a pattern I CREATED!!! I'm so proud of myself. Have to give my Sorority Big Sis, Jill, a shout out for some conversational guidance on how to accomplish that task. She's an AMAZING semstress! I'm so lucky to have someone that creative and talented in my life, not to mention the fact she's an even more amazing friend. :)

Back to topic at hand--here's the photos of birthday outfits, complete with MATCHING birthday hats. All of these hats are finished in fabric and embroidery!

Stylin' Baby Boy

I haven't had a chance to create many new things over the past week, but I did get to make this for my baby boy. We had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's 30th birthday, and thought my Wild Man needed to dress for the occasion.

"Tuxedo" shirt $14

Have a GREAT week, y'all!

Hair Bow Holders

I've previously mentioned that I was going to make hair bow holders, and ta-da! I have two complete.

On my Etsy storefront, I have listed, under the Wall Plaque, an option of adding ribbon to the bottom to create a hair bow holder. My very first Etsy sale was this option for a lucky little girl named Olivia! :) I thought it turned out great!

Embroidered Hair Bow Holder $24

This next hair bow holder is an experiment. I wanted to do a fun and whimsical hair bow holder for a more playful room. This is a 12" diameter circle cut from multiple layers of chipboard--very light weight.

The edge is finished with thin ribbon (you can barely see the light purple ribboned edge), and the initials and background are cut from paper. The back of the piece is also covered in paper.

Holes for ribbon placement are finished with nickel grommets. Ribbon is tied in a way so that the holder is flush with the wall. Coordinating buttons and thread top off tied ribbon. Price would be $20.

So--what do you think? Is this hair bow holder worthy of an Etsy listing?

This last image is another bucket hat I just finished for a friend. Just wanted to show that I can do short names, as well as the initials you saw last week. I'm hoping I get a few more new things finished this week to share with you next Tuesday. Tuesday is my unofficial update day for this blog, so check back weekly!

Have a great rest of the week!

Birthday HATS! :)

Ok. I can't begin to express how happy these hats make me! They are so fun, AND I'll be working on a few more over the next week (including ones made of fabric, applique and embroidery!)

These listed are all made of paper, yarn, ric rack, and grommets for the cord. You don't see the cord in most pics, since I should be receiving the cord stops in the mail today. The cord stops make it a breeze to slip on and off a kid of any age! Any girl hat can be finished with the "princess topper" instead of a yarn pom pom--you'll see pics below. Hats are finished both outside and in so they look fabulous from all angles.

These hats, just like most everything else I create, are completely customizable and no two are exactly alike! I can custom match your theme or decor. Once the fabric hats are established, I'll be able to create an entire fabulous outfit for your little one to celebrate in--from head to toe--literally! :)

I will be listing a couple of the "generic" hats on my storefront at Etsy.com, but you can order then directly from me for a discounted price.

For Kelli's sweet Jack and his monkey themed FIRST birthday party!

The cord you see here is what will be used on all hats in either brown, black or white.

A preppy 1st birthday hat!

An über girly 2nd birthday!

A shabby chic look, perfect for a "Kate" of any age!

What little princess wouldn't love to have this for her birthday--or year round, for that matter!

Prices for Paper Birthday Hats will be as follows:
No personalization: $14 • Personalized: $16

Fabric Birthday Hats will be as follows (once available):
No personalization: $18 • Personalized $20

OH, I almost forgot! For those of you wanting embroidered bucket hats for your kiddos to wear in the summer--I can do those now! I have 2 white, 2 tan, and one pink bucket hat currently, but I think they fit older toddlers. I goes over my little ones head, with it just being a bit big, so they can be used for several summers!

I can also do beanie caps, or skull caps as they're sometimes called. Both bucket hats and beanies are $12.

ETSY SITE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED! YAY!

Whew! I finally have a decent start to my Etsy site! I told you that you would be the first to know! I'll follow up with publishing the exciting news on Facebook mid-Tuesday morning, so look for that over there. Become a fan of Great Day Graphics & Design if you haven't already.

I'm really excited to see where this online market place will take my small business. Please browse around my storefront and let me know what you think. (Please let me know if I've made any typos--I'm horrible with that--could read it over 10 times and never catch it!)

AND I haven't forgotten my promise to my current followers! I'm still offering you wonderful people a 20% DISCOUNT on items listed on the Etsy site. However, I haven't figured out how to add a promotion code. If you want to order something, please message me first and we'll get it worked out. Discount valid until July 14th, one order per follower and does not include shipping.

So, I guess I've held you in suspense for long enough! Here's the direct link to my Etsy Storefront:
If you want to go to Etsy's front page, you can do a search for greatdaygraphics. Just make sure the drop-down menu at the top is on Sellers.
